Dojo Training

Our core training is:

Kihon - basic body movement and footwork, parrying, punching and kicking technique

Kata - the 9 fundamental kata of Wadoryu karatedo

Kihon Kumite - 10 standing pair techniques, fundamentally, the essence of Wadoryu karatedo

Idori - 7 kneeling techniques with a partner followed by a further 10 variations of these.

Tantodori - 10 basic techniques of disarming a knife wielding opponent

Jiyu kumite - free sparring

In addition, we train combination techniques, various further kumite (pair techniques) and supplementary training exercises, padwork, bagwork, focus pads etc.
