Links Some examples of technical ability we aspire to: Seishan and Chinto kata This is an outstanding example of Seishan kata performed by Hideo Takagi 8th Dan. You can also see him perform Chinto on the same page as well as his son demonstrating excellent kata technique - his son has since gone on to become world champion at kata. This is also a nice clear performance of seishan kata by Khoji Okumachi, a student of Arakawa sensei. You can also see him performing chinto kata. Okumachi sensei teaches in Tokyo and was previously 1994 world kata champion. He is a very modest and humble person with "text book" technique. Tantodori - knife defence This is one of a series of clips showing one of my teachers, Hakoishi sensei with his student Sachio Hayasaka 5th Dan explaining Wadoryu tanto dori (knife defence) techniques. The clips are from a Tokyo seminar held in 2008. Interested in Japan?
