This is the original group of Wadoryu instructors in Europe, 1965. L-R are Mochizuki (France), Kono (Holland then Germany), Suzuki (UK), Yamashita (UK) and Toyama (UK then Italy). Apart from Mochizuki, they were graduates of Nihon University (Nichi Dai) and were part of the close group of students Suzuki had trained with.

L- R: Peter McCullagh, Chris Bowman and Ben Pollock. Peter and Chris began their training in 1965. They are now graded 5th Dan under Sakagami Sensei and continue to teach at their club which they have maintained since 1967.
